Providing Helpful Information to our Sister Warriors

The goals for Colors of Lupus Nevada is to assist and service the 13,500+ Nevadans struggling with Lupus. This include having monthly support group meetings by gathering together as a family and discuss what we can do together to help each other. They are providing community outreach and educational programs to the community of Lupus Patients and the less fortunate individuals and families. This allows to help COLNV spread more lupus awareness as well as provide numerous opportunities for all people in our community.

The Lupus Foundation of America are on a mission to end the brutal impact of lupus. They work to greatly accelerate lupus research and push scientific boundaries to improve life now for people living with lupus.  Their mission is to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus through programs of research, education, support and advocacy. They are focused on achieving the following disease-specific outcomes:
  1. Reduce time to diagnosis.
  2. Ensure people with lupus have an arsenal of safe and effective treatments.
  3. Expand direct services and increase access to treatment and care.

The Lupus Research Alliance is the largest nongovernmental, nonprofit funder of lupus research worldwide. The organization aims to transform treatment while advancing toward a cure by funding the most innovative lupus research; fostering diverse scientific talent; stimulating collaborations; and driving discovery toward better diagnostics, improved treatments and, ultimately, a cure for lupus. Because the Lupus Research Alliance’s Board of Directors funds all administrative and fundraising costs, 100% of all donations goes to support lupus research programs.

With the help of informed volunteers, lupus medical experts, and committed and caring supporters, we support research and conduct education programs so everyone affected by lupus can have an improved quality of life; provide information to ensure people with lupus and their families get answers and health professionals know about new means to diagnose and manage the disease; and conduct activities to increase awareness of lupus, rally public support for those who are affected by lupus, and advocate on their behalf.
